Innotec visits largest commercial maritime exhibition, Seawork 2008

An amazed audience watched demos of the underwater sealant, Adheseal. But not content with the usual “cup-cutting” demonstration, Osiris Diving (www.osirismarineservices.com ) took a tube into the divetank and used it to stick various items together. A huge potential was identified for salvage work, repairs, construction, maintenance and even dry and wet suit repairs!



“It’s surprisingly easy to apply for an in-water product! The applicator gun would be something a diver could easily use even in black-water with cold, gloved hands; which seems to be most civils projects nowadays! Plus the sealant itself didn’t disintegrate in the water like most do. It was easily pliable and a small amount went a long way. I’ve got to say I was quite impressed with the strength and its rate of curing in the water. It would have come in handy on the last project we were on with the making-good of some gate valve seals actually! I’m sure we will find it many commercial uses.”

A great deal of interest was also shown for Easy Gasket. Air seals that are constantly exposed to salt water have a tendency to perish and fail. Easy Gasket doesn’t just make a fast repair, it provides a permanent professional repair in the fraction of the time it would take to track down the right spare part.

When water and electrics are bed fellows, you can expect trouble. In the marine environment there is always going to be the chance that your electric and comms. are going to get a little damp. If you are lucky enough to have the luxury of drying them out then SP200 is the perfect product to protect them. However we all know that we don’t always get the opportunity to dry out. We showed that SP200 could actually be applied underwater, dispersing the water and getting you back up and running in an instant.
